Youth Leadership Summit

Tennessee Youth Leadership Summit is the opportunity for two students from two of our local area high schools to attend a leadership conference in Nashville, TN sponsored by the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association and local Electric Membership Cooperatives like Tri-State EMC. The two students are selected by their respective schools for their outstanding leadership. While at the Summit, they are able to meet students from across the state of Tennessee where they participate in many leadership activities. The activities include working on group projects, participating in leadership activities at the local YMCA, touring the Tennessee state capital, sitting in on congressional meetings, and meeting state senators and congressman. This is a great opportunity for the students to work on and show their leadership skills and to be motivated to use them as they go into their senior year and into college.
